Your CDL Training May Be Grant-Funded
CFI Truck Driving School is an approved provider on the Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL) under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). Eligible students may qualify for tuition assistance through CareerSource Tampa Bay and CareerSource Florida — meaning a significant portion, or in some cases all, of your CDL training could be covered by an Individual Training Account (ITA).
How WIOA Funding Works
- Start with CareerSource. Register with CareerSource Tampa Bay (or CareerSource Florida) on Employ Florida and complete the required orientation through your local center.
- Complete your eligibility & assessments. A CareerSource advisor reviews your work history, goals, and training plan to determine grant eligibility.
- Choose your training provider. Once approved (or nearly approved), CareerSource gives you the list of approved ETPL providers — CFI Truck Driving School is on it.
- Contact us for a letter of intent. Reach out to CFI and we'll supply a letter of intent, which CareerSource Tampa Bay requires as part of your next steps after assessments.
- Receive your ITA & start training. CareerSource finalizes and issues your Individual Training Account (ITA). Training begins once we have the ITA (or clear confirmation of it). We invoice after training starts and again on completion.
